An cover for the Timecube album that never was.

instumental sounds, something along the lines of grunge jazz with a twist of funk and some virtuoso guitarage, complete with saxophone and whirlitzer.

as for this peice. it's a collage of a couple different paintings.

ok so i've been experimenting a bit. I watched SMiLE, a documentary on Brian Wilson and his journey writing and recording his album, SMiLE. And they mentioned how on Pet Sounds, Wilson used a new style of recording which they refered to as a modular recording style. This meant that he recorded a bunch of different music parts and then essentially cut and pasted, or sequenced as it is today, them together to make songs that have tremendous dynamics and thick layers.

I'm approaching my work with the same idea only using painting and mark making as my medium and photoshop as my editing equipment.

It's been fun. I think this has been the most successful so far.
The Garnetts were all painted seperately using acrylic on paper
the background was acrylic and toilet paper on canvass.
i recycled the water from a previous painting entitled "Gnarwhale".
On top major digital manipulations in the background as well as some key highlights on the Garnetts.

The colors in this are absolutely lovely, and I really like how you've drawn the birds.

love the birds!

It sounds like your painting process is rather complex.
